Aquarium Ciprofloxacin 750mg
Fish Ciprofloxacin 750mg belongs to the group of synthetic broad-spectrum antibacteiral agents active against gram-negative and some gram-positive bacterial fish pathogens, such as aeromonads, flexibacteria, vibrios.
Use for: Columnaris infections (Fin Rot, Saddleback, and Black Patch Necrosis Syndromes), Freshwater and Saltwater Furuncolosis (skin ulcers, systemic disease).
Since it suppresses special target enzymes required for the survival of bacteria, it may work when facing bacteria that is resistant to other antibiotics.
Dosage & Administration: Dissolve 1 tablet (750mg) per 4 gallons of water into a small amount of water before adding to a hospital tank. Immerse for one hour. Ciprofloxacin overcomes water hardness (increase dose for marine fish) and high divalent cations in the diet – chelates divalent cations. It is inhibited by high pH (>6.9). It is either bacteriostatic or bactericidal depending on the concentration that is effective at the target site.
Caution: Do not allow children to handle. Fish antibiotics are used only for aquarium purposes. Meant for decorative fish and/or decorative organisms and not meant for use with fish that are meant for human consumption.
